Metaphor A to Z

Scarring

A scar is a mark left on the skin or internal organ as a result of a wound. When the skin or internal organ is injured it is replaced by hard scar tissue.

Scarring is the result of an emotional wound that we haven’t fully healed.

The scar is a badge that we keep to prove how the emotional wound affected us.

The area of the body that is scarred can give us more information about the specific issue involved.
