Metaphor A to Z

Psoriasis

Psoriasis is usually a chronic problem, presenting itself as a recurrent, bright red skin disease or dermatitis.

It is found most commonly on the scalp, knees, elbows, back, chest and buttocks, and it means that we have suppressed irritation with someone or a number of people and have become hypersensitive.

This comes from our misconception that we should react rather than respond and help.

We have a desire for peace, but we have been suppressing our emotions rather than dealing with them, which makes us feel that we are sacrificing ourselves to make things better.

This can originate in overload of old, but still present, negative emotions and conflicts in our family. We are swallowing past or present disharmony and trying to make things better, regardless of the personal cost.

Often the conflict is one in which the feminine is being scapegoated, usually in our mother, sister or partner. This emotional issue, and its dermatological symptom, can be passed down ancestrally.
