Pancreas
The pancreas is a gland situated behind the stomach.
It aids in the digestive process, excreting enzymes for all classes of food, as well as producing the hormones of insulin and glycogen to aid carbohydrate production metabolism.
The pancreas is symbolic of where we store pain and an area of the body where integration between emotion and experience takes place.
Problems with the pancreas indicate that our pain is overwhelming, that it is more than we feel we can integrate, and so it is suppressed and stored.
