Metaphor A to Z

Liver

The liver is the largest organ in the body. It has many vital functions including digestion of sugar, transforming it into glycogen for storage in the body.

As well as storing many vitamins, the liver also purifies the blood by removing toxic substances.

The liver signifies issues of ‘living’ or ‘dying.’ It can also reflect issues of anger.

Problems with our liver indicate that we are heading in a death direction.

It also shows us the degree to which we haven’t let go of self-attack, toxins, ‘bad stories’ or shadow figures within us.
