A hyperthyroid is an overactive thyroid gland characterized by an increased metabolism and intense emotions.
Having this condition means we are not including ourselves or taking our place at the center of our life. Therefore we are in a state of compensation, and are pushing ourselves hard to achieve, without giving ourselves credit for it. We are caught in fusion, sacrifice, busyness, laziness and in hiding feelings of guilt and valuelessness.
These feelings originally come from our perceived inability to save our family, although most of these feelings are buried. We are imbalanced and have lost our natural flow.
We may feel that we need to live life “burning our candle at both ends.” We do this because we feel we have lost our center. In order to regain our balance, we have mistakenly resorted to a strategy of control.
We are resisting the ‘king’ archetype within us, which would give us the authority, command and value to place us back in the center of our life, where we could do the most good for ourselves and others.
