Metaphor A to Z

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)

CFS is often described as ‘the flu that doesn’t go away,’ with complex symptoms of persistent fatigue that is not relieved by rest. Other symptoms include a sore throat, memory loss, muscle and joint pains and headaches.

CFS is the result of a chronic judgment or grievance. There is usually an element of depression involved, and it also spells out feelings of being overwhelmed and undertaking high levels of emotional sacrifice.

We feel that we have too much to deal with and have become disheartened. We feel that there is not enough meaning or inspiration in our life to sustain us.
