Castration

Castration is a removal of the testes, signifying our fear of power, masculinity and sex.

It speaks of an unconscious or excessive guilt about sex.

Castration is a metaphor for feeling that something cost us a great deal to accomplish, that we had to pay for it with our most precious jewels. This is a form of self-attack and sacrifice.
