Metaphor A to Z

Benign Tumor

This non-malignant, non-recurrent tumor represents our need to give while simultaneously holding back, reflecting a misplaced giving.

We are being driven by a need to give our gifts and yet are afraid to give them in a true way. Instead of true giving, we are using the gift-giving energy to create tumors inside of us.

A benign tumor can also be the result of introjection or ‘swallowing the pain’ of someone close to us.

This psychological swallowing is a major trap that keeps us fused and co-dependent. It mirrors an ancient healing method.
We don’t have enough healing energy to disgorge or process the pain that has mistakenly been taken on.

This is actually a judgment on God that leads to sacrifice. Any success through the sacrifice of introjection could be accomplished through grace without the sacrifice.

Swallowing pain is an attempt to take on God’s job.

The part of the body afflicted with the tumor can give us more information about what is really going on.
