Adrenal Glands

The adrenal glands are located on the superior surface of each kidney and their function is to produce a variety of secretions, which are vital to normal body function.

Problems with our adrenal glands demonstrate that we have a difficulty in allowing grace to flow through us. We are unwilling to give up control and, as a result, we feel that we have to do everything on our own.

This makes us feel as if we have been pushed into a ‘role.’ We feel like we are running on empty, close to burnout, because we are in sacrifice. As a result, we refuse our natural authority and success.

This means that we do things for approval, while on the other hand feeling that we have to stay independent. This leads to perfectionism, excessive ‘doing’ and chronic ‘running on adrenalin,’ which takes a heavy toll on the body.

The way through this problem is to communicate in an open and clear way, and to make a commitment to self, partnership and success. This will help us to embrace our destiny, surrender to the grace and get out of our own way.
