Relax and take a deep breath. Clear your mind. Then answer the following questions using your intuition, trusting the first answer that pops into your head:
- If you were to know what or who it is you are refusing to let go of, it’s probably _____________________________________________.
- If you were to know how it serves you to hold on to this situation or person, it is so that you won’t have to ____________________________________.
- If you were to know what holding on allows you to do, it is probably ____________________________________.
- If you were to know what indulgence you get to keep with this holding on, it’s probably __________________________________.
- If you were to know what need from the past you are trying to get filled, it’s probably _________________________________.
- If you were to know what gift you are afraid to embrace that this holding on hides, it’s probably ______________________________.
Close your eyes and ask for the help of your higher mind with this process of letting go. First ask for the willingness to no longer use this holding on to stop you in your life. Imagine you are allowing the universe to take this attachment from you, and feel yourself willingly let go of the person, place or thing you have been carrying.
Realize that you no longer need this attachment and that you did not get whatever it was you were trying to get by holding on. Ask for a new way to begin for you now. Allow yourself to notice what the universe gives you back in exchange for your attachment.
