The kidneys are located on either side in the back of the abdominal cavity. Their function is to excrete urine and to help regulate the water, electrolyte and acid-base content of the blood.
The kidneys represent purification and a clearing out of negative emotions. Problems with our kidneys mean we have more emotions to clear out than we can handle.
We are feeling overwhelmed or unable to deal with certain emotions in general. There is some childhood trauma that keeps us from committing and giving ourselves wholeheartedly.
This trauma was actually a focus for ancestral pain or a soul injury.
