Dementia is a general term that describes a permanent loss of intellectual faculties due to organic brain disease. There are many causes of dementia. Having dementia means that we are caught in an extreme form of withdrawal.
We are wild with fear and pain as a result of some deep emotion welling up that we don’t want to deal with. We feel lost in the unconscious. We want to stay away from our conscious mind to avoid the experience of deep emotion and horror.
